My Vice President

Note: This is a fictional blurb written for blog-posting practice, tech ed class

If you were a presidential candidate, who would you chose for a vice-presidential running mate? Why? Defend your answer with facts that support your decision.

If I were a presidential candidate, I would choose Amy Buchanan to be my vice-presidential candidate. My choice would be based on an evaluation of her character, values, and experience. My decision to run with Amy Buchanan would also take into account our working relationship.

As someone who has worked in global context, in both the public and private sector, Amy would compliment my expertise in domestic affairs. Amy has studied and worked in France, Nepal, China, the Middle East, and England. She has also studied, worked, and lived in New York City and Washington DC.

Amy's extensive experience with people and matters in the East Coast, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, would compliment my expertise with people and matters in the West Coast, in Mexico, and in Latin America.

Beyond our complimentary skills and expertise is our ability to work together as a team. In our years working on behalf of incarcerated youth and families, nation-wide, we established a solid working relationship built on trust and common ideals.

Last but not least, Amy and I will be sure to work closely with the former President and First Lady, Barak and Michelle Obama. In fact, we will pretty much give them a third term. We will essentially be a transition team, before their two daughters take our place. :-)
